The herbal oils in our herbs are preserved longer by not crushing the herbs prior to package. Crushing or bruising the herbs releases the flavor and aroma in the plant oil and should be done right before use.

Mariquita Farm “Culinary Herb Collection” — This collection includes Thyme (8g), Rosemary (8g bag) and Marjoram (10g bag). Thyme is used for adding layers of flavor without being overwhelming. It’s used to season sauces, braises and makes a welcome addition in potatoes, rice dishes, and vegetables. Rosemary is one of the most aromatic herbs, its needlelike leaves have a pronounced lemon-pine flavor that pairs well with roasted lamb, garlic, and olive oil. Rosemary is also a nice addition to focaccia, baked breads, tomato sauce, pizza, and pork. Sweet Marjoram is in the same genus as oregano but is much sweeter, with a warm and aromatic taste. It’s a popular addition to salad dressings, meat dishes, and tomato-based dishes including pizza. The herbal oils in our herbs are preserved longer by not crushing the herbs prior to package.
